Re: Titan CCR

Hi Bubbleseekers,
Sounds very interesting, I'm also keen to hear of any decent CO2 monitoring. I take it your web-site is incomplete - I click on the Titan logo and get nothing.

Re: Titan CCR

Who needs the games on the VR3 if you can play Doom during deco stops.

Now serious. Larry, what OS will the computer be running?

BubbleSeekers is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Titan CCR

Right now we're creating an algorithm to compensate for the pressure changes. The sensor itself is very robust and can be flooded and then recovered. Our webmaster is still uploading information as we pass it along, hopefully everything will be up in the next week or two.

The 250 Gig harddrive is not for everyone, but it is an option. We have many sizes from 10gigs up to 250. The extra storage space is great if you want to TIVO your favorite shows and take an entire series on your dive vacation so you can watch them during deco stops.

The OS is Windows on an embedded processor. And yes, you can play Doom (or Counter Strike).

Re: Titan CCR

Does the shearwater stuff run on the windows computer? Or is it in it's own seperate system. I hope so. I'd hate to have windows crash in the middle of a 200fsw dive.

Re: Titan CCR

Ron Micjan did a report on his site www.tmishop.com . From the text it looks like the stock unit has no ADV and o2 and dil can only be added electronically (yikes). I hope I am reading it wrong.

Re: Titan CCR

A friend who went to Cayman told me in his opinion it looks a long way from being ready.

It is nice to have a friend's first-hand "report" since there are so many things you will never read from the Internet...

Re: Titan CCR

yup, still a ways from production, but closer than some other folks for sure. An adv will be standard, it just wasnt ready at this time. The unit did get some water time, so it does work. Louby lou is supposed to be copying the article over to Rebreather World, so look for it to be posted here soon.
