If its true - I hope it (the CO2 monitoring) becomes an industry standard. Its about time someone actually DID produce a Rebreather with CO2 monitor that people could actually buy. Cheers Mike

It's not in the configuration that will be brought to Inner Space. But it has some very interesting features. I'll leave those for Tomar to talk about, but it's not just another me-too rebreather.

![]() ![]() | Re: Titan CCR Bruce, is it the Shearwater software running on a pentium? I just read this from the description: "Pentium M 600 MHz., 1.1ghz or 1.6 GHz processor · 512 MHz or 1 gig of RAM · 1gig. or 2 gig. operating systems drive · 20 gig, 40 gig, 60 gig and soon 100 gig. removable hard drive with USB 2.0 connection." I don't think there's any embedded pentium M's - what are they using to power this thing? Sorry, don't mean to be critical, but I'm a KISS kinda guy ![]() Also, there's no such thing as "Wet Mateable USB Ports", at least that's certified. I write the software for the USB compliance program. -Brett Quote: (Originally Posted by bgpartri) It has Shearwater electronics. |

I am sure you could fit all of those in the Shearwater industrial-strength handset... ![]() |

![]() | The wet-mateable USB does not conform to any existing certification b/c it is, at this time, a proprietary connector. The connector has been tested to 10,000 fsw. The Pentium based technology is not related to the Shearwater unit. In addition to our beloved Shearwater computer, we're going to be introducing a full function underwater computer - the Benthic PC. It is no joke and no myth. We're packing a 250 Gig harddrive and 1.6GHz processor into a waterproof housing about the size of Bruce's handset. The Benthic will be debuing this year (would you believe the hardest part of the project has been the full VGA driver board?). The TITAN CCR will be at Innerspace 2006. In the next couple days I'll try to post some pictures from our testing. Larry (and Tomar, but he's asleep right now) |
