Cool, thanks... can't see any electronics in the pictures, IIRC the earlier prototypes used Shearwaters?

Certainly looks small and streamlined.
Yes it is using shearwater- was told one would be in my hands by the 15 dec if so will report back on how it does- it weighs approx 37 pounds (around 17 kilo)
has dump for exhale CL so water can be removed upstream of the canister (it does reverse flow gas to get more duration from the micropore) has hydrophobic nipple at the inlet to canister- external gas blocks adjustable ADv- Look forward to diving the finished version have dived the orginal prototype- then a protype of the current version to come out but not in its final configuration /design so will enjoy getting on it -promise to send feed back after 15 to 20 hours on it -Maybe I will have it while up in cave country and can beat it up a little and get some long dives on it-yes will carry extra bailout the first couple of dives just in case

Inadvertantly tripped over this old thread while looking for something else... did alittle surf off the back of it and found this- http://www.titandivegear.com/Quote- "Expected release to the general public of the Titan Rebreather is June 21, 2008 at the Long Beach Dive Show, booth 357."Anyone know anything about that?

Got any more info or do we wait till next week?

Always interested to see new units come along, so far this has been pretty quiet, a slow trickle of information, maybe their following the Apple product release method- drip, drip, hint hint...

Re: Titan CCR

Saw the pictures and found my way to the site. Would someone who is smart on this unit mind hammering out a few more lines describing the system?

From the pictures it looks great! What size tanks are on it? Can you go bigger/smaller? I see that it is using the ExtendAir cartridge?

I really like that it only weighs 48 lbs "ready to dive" -- that would make it ideal for travel.

Have they partnered with SW for the elctronics? Their website says $6995 -- thats a pretty good price for an ECCR.

Did I read the webpage description correctly "HUD shows actual PO2" I wonder if there is a way to account for folks with bad vision or who have trouble focusing in on something so close. Has anyone seen the HUD in action?

I could do without those plastic buckles on the harness, but other than that it looks great!

Is anyone on the eastcoast getting one soon?

I'm guessing here but I'd wager it has the Shearwater triple LED flash code PPO2 HUD...

Re: Titan CCR

it has 13cuft tanks, only that size fits. tomar said something about special 13 steels sometime soon, dont remember all of that. it does have a standard offboard connect.

the electronics were shearwater based, going to have wetmate connections to allow battery swapping u/w. all addition is solenoid based, the comp has manual override buttons for the solenoids on it, no manual buttons to press. if the solenoid dies, hasta la vista babee, or bailout. adv and bov going to be combined, that wasnt shown at cayman.

was interesting. i thought the laguna research electronics were sweeter, modular and rig swappable, upgradable, can overlay solenoid control over manual, awesome christmas tree display colors, cool magnet hud, lots of choices for what you like.

tomar and wayne also both seem like nice guys with small companies, maybe not as big marketing wise or responsive as say apple, but with equally smart products. really nice stuff.

ok now 150 words was supposed to get me my keyman...................
