| Blogs Admin / Forum Mod ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | CCR standardisation: For reference - Sydney Project Diving Regulations All, I have attached "Sydney Project Diving Regulations" and "Sydney Project Support Diver Procedure" (current versions, with a partial rewrite underway) as an example for a minimalist set of rules and regulations for deep technical diving, using CCR. These rules have served us well so far (touch wood!), without constraining the individual in their freedom to plan and coduct their dive. Also attached: Rebreather checklist and Diver's log. The documents cover: Sydney Project Diving Regulations (1) Diving - diving related positions (roles and responsibilities) - general diving considerations - general diving guidelines - recognised diving levels/requirements (2) Documentation and Forms - waivers, medical, oher forms - pre-dive checklist - rebreather checklist - other forms (3) Procedures & Protocols - general standards - gas filling - OC additional standards - Rebreathers - additional standards - staged deco gas - >110m additional standards - Emergency procedures - Emergency procedures for expeditions - Emergency - Drifting Deco Diver - Emergency - Omitted deco/conscious and relaxed diver - Emergency - Omitted deco/unconscious and/or distressed diver - Emergency - Inwater recompression - Emergency - equipment - Emergency - workshops & drills Sydney Project Support Diver Procedure - pre-dive - setup - post dive - clean up - support diver equipment Sydney Project Diver's log Sydney Project Rebreather Checklist I hope that the above provides some food for thought. These rules designed to be less detailed and/or restrictive as WKPP. Sydney Project members dive in a variety of environments with differing goals. Updates will be posted on the Sydney Project website: here. Legal disclaimer: Please bear in mind, that these rules work for us. They may not be applicable to your kind of diving and following them may actually kill you. The rules only provide a framework for experienced Sydney Project members to conduct diving expeditions.
