| Re: Wishing everybody a happy Thanksgiving! Doing my first fried turkey this year. Hope I don't catch myself on fire. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Ahh yes, the deep fried turkey. Curt did that ONCE....2 turkeys later (1 was sacrificed for practice)....... Imagine if you will the events:Curt (Fireman mode) Turkey #1 and #2 propane burner Like 25 gallons of Peanut oil ropes, carabiners, metal poles chair, beer(perhaps the reason for the demise of Turkey #1) All joking aside, he did an awesome job. Very juicy and tasty, especially if you inject the bird prior with spices and a bit of olive oil.

| Re: Wishing everybody a happy Thanksgiving! Already injected the turkey with marinade, now looking for my welding gloves and safety glasses. Just make sure you don't put it in half frozen! We go to some doufus almost every year that tosses a half thawed turkey into a pot of boiling oil. They either get badly burned with oil, or start a fire.A few years ago a guy burned his garage completely, and lots of smoke damage to the rest of the house. We spent our Thanksgiving morning putting out the fire .Be safe everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving. For all our brothers and sisters serving overseas and away from their families....hang in there. My thoughts and prayers are with you. FD ![]()
