| This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark The sea is stained in red and it’s not because of the climate effects of nature. It's because of the cruelty that the human beings (civilised human) kill hundreds of the famous and intelligent Calderon dolphins. In this slaughter the main participants are young teens. WHY? To show that they are adults and mature.... BULLLLsh In this big celebration, nothing is missing for the fun. Everyone is participating in one way or the other, killing or looking at the cruelty “supporting like a spectator” Is it necessary to mention that the dolphin calderon, like all the other species of dolphins, it’s near instinction and they get near men to play and interact. In a way of PURE friendship They don’t die instantly; they are cut 1, 2 or 3 times with thick hocks. And at that time the dolphins produce a grim extremely compatible with the cry of a new born child. But he suffers and there’s no compassion till this sweet being slowly dies in its own blood Its enough! Take care of the world, it is your home! Assine contra essa crueldade: I wish there was a better way that we could coexist with these dolphins, seeing this is so sad. Best regards, Chett. L

| Re: This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark Please grow up... They actually eat those animals... You know where the meat in your supermarkets are coming from? And the meat you get there live harsh, dull lives, and has a lot of fear in the end of their lives... Oh, and you Americans kill whales for eating too... |

There is a vast difference betwen hacking something to death and slaughtering as humanely as possible for food. And I am one of the minority who does know where their food comes from having been raised on a livestock farm and run a fish market for 10 years. Oh, and I would be very keen to hear you back that last assertion up with some facts... Cheers, Ben. Please grow up... They actually eat those animals... You know where the meat in your supermarkets are coming from? And the meat you get there live harsh, dull lives, and has a lot of fear in the end of their lives... Oh, and you Americans kill whales for eating too... |

| Re: This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark Please grow up... Can't remember the last time I had a tasty whale, but perhaps some aboriginal Alaskan would make a liar out me if I said nobody on U.S. soil has killed a whale for eating lately. They actually eat those animals... You know where the meat in your supermarkets are coming from? And the meat you get there live harsh, dull lives, and has a lot of fear in the end of their lives... Oh, and you Americans kill whales for eating too... We all have to grow up and stop killing endangered species just because our forefathers did, or other such nonsense. This would absolutely include any American (U.S. Citizen... It is a huge continent) who hunts simply for the kill. This is a much changed world from that of our ancestors and not for the better. And the meat you get there live harsh, dull lives, and has a lot of fear in the end of their lives... Oh, and you Americans kill whales for eating too... This may possibly be the most repulsive thing I have seen in a long time! Time to change your perspective and join the 21st century! Endangered animals should not be in the menu, regardless of cultural bias or customs! Just my $.02 Regards, Randy

| Re: This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark Years ago I ate whale in the Faroes. The meat isn't too bad but the blubber is definitely an acquired taste. That being said, as a diver and lifetime amatuer conservationist I spoke to the locals about the whale hunt and they defended it as their tradition and birthright. I have mixed emotions. I wasn't aware that the species they harvest is endangered (if that is correct). I suppose it's a brutal end for a friendly mammal but then so is being eaten by a pack of killer whales or hit by a great white. I don't suppose that many dolphins die in bed. Pigs are friendly intelligent creatures too (great pets) and they are raised in horrible factory pens for a short very uncomfortable life. I'd take freedom in the ocean with a nasty ending over life in a pig's pen terminated by a hammer to the head. Life isn't fair. The bycatch of factory boats probably kills ten times as many cetaceans for absolutely no purpose at all. ![]() |
