Technical dive shops in LA

Hi,

i'm visiting Los Angeles presently.
Could anybody recommend diveshops offering technical stuff with exact location in greater LA area.
I found plenty of common diveshops with a limited selection regarding technical stuff.

Thanks a lot, Reiner

Hi,

Hollywood divers in Cahuengga boulevard is probably your best bet (363) 969-9875.

They do stock supplies for Inspo and Evo.

You could check out Scuba Schools of America I bought my used Inspiration from Rusty. I believe he is one of the largest sellers/trainers of the KISS. Just do the Google for location.

Re: Technical dive shops in LA

SSA is quite a drive from Los Angeles, Hollywood Divers is the best bet that I know of in LA.

I used to go to Eco Dive Center in Culver City as well, Ron and Beth are great....they didn't carry rebreather stuff when I lived there, but they do carry a wide variety of gear, including some OC tech stuff.

Xtreme scuba does have a great selection, however, it's not close to the greater LA area.

He might as well drive to Lake Havasu and shop at TDL .... Just kidding of course.

These guys Scuba Diving - Ocean Adventures Dive Co. Los Angeles, Venice CA

Are in Venice, fairly close to LAX.

They have a complete "tech" fill station, boosters, O2 etc. Not sure about sorb.

Talk to Andy Huber. Herr Huber is trained on the Prism, and has an appreciation of the needs of Rebreather divers.

SSA has no technical gear and they don't do tech training. They put BC's on KISS rebreathers and don't even stock backplates, harnesses or bladders. I think a high pressure QD sells for $150. They are very far inland and not worth the drive.

You may be able to buy sorb at twice the retail price but that's it.

The drive to San Diego is worth it. Like Mel said, go to SDTechDiving and you will find info, dive sites, charters, drinking buddies and perhaps a diving tour guide.

There are 3 very good tech shops in San Diego. Most gear is readily accessible and SDUA has one of the best fill stations that I have seen.
- Water Ranch
- San Diego Underwater Adventures (SDUA)
- Aquatech
