The Ugly: I purchased a valve from a Rebreather World member. The box arrived empty. I am pretty sure he did ship the item but he did a piss poor job of packing - the bottom of the box was not taped and it simply opened in transit. We exchanged a few messages with him promising to contact the shipper, but he never made the effort. He is a frequent poster here and I am sure he would be regarded by everyone as trustworthy. Since this is a he said/ she said situation I will not name him publicly.

Thanks for the escrow.com link, that is worth keeping in mind.

It gets down to trusting our instincts when dealing with people we do not know. My batting average is usually better than .333!

I've had nothing but good experiences with purchases from other board members. I've dealt with tecdivertraining, Lancer4545 and Drmike and each exchange has been a good one.
