In a dramatic turn around, the latest RNZ Navy ship the HMNZS GRANT NARBEY, having previosuly been sunk as an artificial reef, is raised again to rejoin the Navy to take part in operations in support of US forces in Afganistan.

and Grant realized that it was not possible to raise the Titanic or any other wreck by attaching a handwrench to the bow of his "salvage vessel" the HMNZS Blown Tube.

A dive trip to great barrier island - $200, damage to teh boat $10000, realizing that you will get very wet because your dry suit is on teh back of the boat fro drying - priceless

Coast Guard ( me on the radio)- thick german accent :"SSSis is the New Sealand Coast Guard, what are you sssssinking about ?"

Crikey,

you local guys are laying it on a certain boat master a bit thick. Sure I put the picture up but I did not mention any names... Just to put things into perspective, the guy is a professional, and handled the situation in nothing less than a professional manner, resulting in a safe and successful outcome for all on board.

Remember how small our community is and play nice!
