Currently I am down to Kite surfing and regular surfing, but I used to include sports bike riding ('04 R1), rock climbing, horse riding, camping etc. Pretty much anything for a giggle. Even went so far as to get married once but that was the one sport that proved a little to extreme for me ![]() About the only thing I fear is television! |

| Re: Other dangerous passtimes. You guys have it all wrong. Its not *at all* about danger. It's about this: Dave, I think you have it spot on! For me it's about challenging my self and overcoming the task. I recently got into hiking/mountaineering. After leaving the forces I had done very little and the first mountain I went up since leaving was the UKs biggest, boy was I pissed when the person I was with gave up 500 feet from the summit! ( we were in 90-100mph winds an blanket fog so I can see there point). I'll be there again in better weather an plan to run up my self.(And sorry the web page is untitled, but it's worth the read) Untitled You'll see yourself reflected there. Welcome to the club. | CK+Shearwater Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Other dangerous passtimes. Diving in the main but for the winter I've started Snowboarding.... more physical danger (the way I ride anyway) and quicker adrenaline rush but in the long run diving is more dangerous/satisfying when done right and interesting to me. Surf and Climb in the summer whan I get a chance, which feel somewhat more "Man Vs Nature" and pure compared to hi-tech diving, don't want to sound all tree-hugger so will shut up about that now... Used to ride moutain bike and play rugby before but got tired of the vast pain for little gain! (Pic- After another cartwheeling starfish impression)
