![]() | Does anyone use the Submatix BOV (not FFM)? If so, do you use the BOV with the 2L dil / normoxic trimix, or your bail-out cylinder? Helpfull comments or thoughts appreciated please, Thanks. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Submatix BOV for mCCR I dive a submatix mCCR, and I'm in the process of fitting a bov to it. I chose a KISS bov as I found a used one for a decent price (whatever that may mean when talking about dive gear ). I've had Martin at tecme build me submatix-to-kiss hoses adapters - which I received yesterday and will proceed to install the set: adapters, kiss hoses, kiss bov in replacement for the submatix loop.Regarding the source, my plan is to feed the bov from the offboard tank (with a swagelock QC). The inboard dil tank is way too small for serving that purpose, knowing it also feeds my drysuit (wing from separate tank). When I chose a bov, I considered the submatix one, but ended up discarding it, because it only fits on a submatix, whereas other bovs that were on my list (such as the kiss or the golem) can fit other rebreathers, and I wanted to be able to keep it should I change unit in the future. Other than that, I've heard second hand it's a nice unit, easy to twist and quick to assemble in the loop (hence also easy to disassemble for cleaning). |

![]() | Re: Submatix BOV for mCCR thank you for the replies! i'm going to go for the submatix BOV and route it to my bail-out stage so i think tecme might next be on my list to contact re the swagelock gizmo. i just don't feel happy for a BOV running off the 2L inboard. happy diving everyone! ![]() |

Check swagelock website, you may have a local distributor, this would save you shipping costs. Then, you have to figure out how to insert the QC 6 in the loop. I've ordered a couple of 1/4NPT male / reusable fittings at undersea, which can be threaded in the middle of a regular MP hose once cut where it's convenient to locate the QC. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Submatix BOV for mCCR Richard, this kind of post is rather unfair. You have sent me one email regarding the additional shipping cost that I had to incur due to your underestimating the unit weight, and I do confess I forgot to send you the payment when the package finally arrived (remember it took a few weeks to arrive). I do apologize for the forgetting. I did not receive any additional reminder from you, and would have sent the payment right away if I did, which is exactly what I will do as soon as you PM me your paypal address. Discovering the reminder in the form of the posts above - which fortunately a friend pointed me to - has a bit of a bad taste. As for the post having been unanswered, had you go to my profile you would have seen "Last Activity: 04-12-08 at 7:47 pm". PM me your paypal address, and for me the case is closed and I will no longer address this on the forum. Thanks. |
