I saw this at DEMA and it is a great high quality little unit, if I needed one that's the one I would purchase.

Question Re: Portable Compressor

Probably asking for way too much... but is it O2 compatible... ie - can it act as a booster pump as well?

Re: Portable Compressor

@Barrie

Is this the standard Coltri MCH 6 compressor or a new model, different to the existing version?

Kind regards

That IS asking too much, Ryan... You can't use it as a booster pump.

Think of this compressor as the cheaper version of the Bauer Junior-2. Years ago, I did a lot of research between these 2 units before I bought the Bauer so some small things might have been changed.

Ryan
Hi Ryan,

It is not suitable for pumping Oxygen directly but it can be used to fill Air Drive cylinders to run mini-boosters that are used to boost Oxygen cylinders.

This is Coltri Subs smallest compressor and is popular with rebreather divers because of it's portability, reliability and as always the price.

Regards

Re: Portable Compressor

Thanks guys... figured so on the O2 boosting... sure would be nice to have an all in one though! Need some brilliant M.Eng / machinist to come up with this one.

Maybe the 3 or 4 stages for regular air compression and then an axilliary stage with in seperate compartment with seperate hose connections that can be used just for boosting O2.

Probably too small of a market to even make it worth investigating... oh well, I can dream.
