Have you got the 16 or 22.5 kilo AP wing? I've got the 22.5 kilo (so call it 50 lb) AP wing and it seemed to be OK, although it held me lower than my old DR Superwings did. The Oxycheq ones from Golem Gear only go up to 55 lb. Is that really going to make that much difference against the 22.5 kilo AP wing? The wing just doesn'yt give enough lift on the surface in swells. I have tried several other wings but they crush the hoses. Thanks Cheers,

It's not the lift that is the difference, it's the way it's distributed, if the wing is wider at the bottom it will lift you further out of the water, the wings look cut in this way.The wing just doesn'yt give enough lift on the surface in swells. A couple of people are selling "rebreather wings" that a narrow at the top (so it doesn't impeed the hoses) and wide at the bottom (supposedly to give horizontal trim with bottom heavy inverted cylinders) I don't think you need to get too much larger, wings around the 60lb/28kg mark tend to be pretty large and flappy (unless you have "bungied wings of death" ) or something to stop that.Kind of depends if your diving wet or dry, with or without stage(s) IMO

A couple of people are selling "rebreather wings" that a narrow at the top (so it doesn't impeed the hoses) and wide at the bottom (supposedly to give horizontal trim with bottom heavy inverted cylinders) Bungied wings of death on a YBOD - heaven forbid ;-) Combined with my tangled harness of doom, that would just about do it.......I don't think you need to get too much larger, wings around the 60lb/28kg mark tend to be pretty large and flappy (unless you have "bungied wings of death" ) or something to stop that.Kind of depends if your diving wet or dry, with or without stage(s) IMO I'm going to see how I get on with the AP wing first. The next step will be to try a wing with equivalent lift, but a different shape. Cheers,
