But you guys have cheap cars. We match your income taxes and pay 180% on registration tax for a new car. That is of course not including the 25% VAT that has to be calculated of the full amount.

That is why i would buy a car from Denmark and export it to Sweden, 6months old and 500 miles, and the car is half the price of Sweden.

But if you view this from our side (the European consumer) and the fact that there are some US companies doing it and some that are not doing it then its reasonable for me personally to choose a supplier that can do this kind of “assistance”
And believe me we are not talking for 50 bucks. If its computer – or a scooter it could be anything from 250 to……

Actually that’s how I got my Meg.

Unfortunately the cost of shopping that my wife did in New York was way over the money I saved on customs, VAT and transportation…

Doesn't sound like much now though. In the UK the smart money is on gold at the moment, especialy as it's priced in dollars. Wait for El Prez Bush to realise that the dollar is sinking and sorts it out and sell the gold for a 30%+ profit.
