Please tell me what the benefit to having the next software version above 7.06 and also tell me what the benefit for the plastic handsets is over the metal ones. Thanks. Tobin |

![]() ![]() | Re: New Hammerhead Sets - Announcement Just finished a series of dives today here in Kona with one of our diving guests. The handsets worked flawlessly. Their new lighter weight and smaller size is certainly an asset. It's wonderful seeing the evolution of rebreather electronics...and I remember well a time years ago back in your garage Kevin, when we were deep in conversation about just what the set points should be for your very first one: .7 ? 1.2 ? Little did we know way back then. Congratulations again on your latest product and I expect to see quite a few of them here diving on a variety of units. Aloha !

Tobin The delrin handsets have some added functionality (anthough they WILL NOT work as deep without filling with mineral oil).. Altitude calibration, battery monitoring and the availablity of a deco computer on the secondary..

Just like the Metal wrist units, we rate the new sets to 330 fsw.The delrin handsets have some added functionality (anthough they WILL NOT work as deep without filling with mineral oil).. Altitude calibration, battery monitoring and the availablity of a deco computer on the secondary.. I have been told by Dive Rite that there are some divers in the Red Sea who have taken their Optima's to 200+ Meters. We do not condone this, of course, but divers being divers... The new wrist units have already been very deep too, according to my sources. Wonder why we make people sign waivers, eh? Be Safe, Have Fun - Remember my 2 rules: Dont get Bent, Don't Die. You manage to accomplish both of those on just about any dive, and it'll be a good one. ![]() Kevin Juergensen Juergensen Marine, Inc. |

The new handsets look really nice Kevin, and no I never questioned why some manufacturers make customers sign waivers, even though mine didn't. Just wondering, does anybody have any more info on these 200M+ dives on the Optima? -Andy |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New Hammerhead Sets - Announcement Hi Kevin, I have a pair of question regarding the new handsets, to upgrade them (I guess in some distant future it´ll come?) do the customer need to send them to you, or is it possible to upgrade them online? via IR modem or similar? And will there be logging function in the future with parameters such depth, time and PO2. That would do it to the most complete dive/computer system on the market. Logging function is quite nice to have for the personal record, but also (God forbid) if there is an accident. To be able to see what went wrong and at what time. And the new option with just a secondary with DIVA and computer NICE, I can image my self with a Pelagian and a HH installed on it. Traveling light and with a great combo machine. Thanks for a great product and keep up with the great work... /Z ![]() |
