Is there any signifcant differences between the two interm of absorbing performance? I do know one thing is that the rod type breath so much better than the spherical sorb, which I have used before like Dragersorb in the past.
When I switch it to sofnolime, I love it ever since due to it ecellent WOB performance.

    Thanks in advance

Not to get two techy, our product is D shaped this we feel is the optimium shape for absorbtion as it offers the least resistance for gas to penetrate to the centre of the product hence using all of its capacity. The granules are then of varying size 'with in spec' allowing good movement of air whilst still offering good absorbtion rates.

Hope that is the answer you are looking for.

Thumbs up Re: Need your feed back

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forum.
it is very good to have you onboard. this is a good environment for the exchange of information without too much chest beating. Seriously, you will find scrubbers and what we stuff into them is a subject close to all of our hearts ( that's where our wallets are!)
I won't beat you up over the cost of the product, but questions concerning durration over cost have resulted in individuals pushing the limits set by manufacturers, sometimes with dire results, so more from the horses mouth please.

    Cheerio!

    Hi Sven,
Try to get hold of " Life Support Systems Design" by nuckols, tucker and sarich. Simon & Schuster custom publishing ISBN 0-536-59616-6
I think it is out of print but it is worth hunting out. lotts of useful data and formulea for any rebreather nurd and worth its weight in Dragersorb for the homebuilder.

Good luck. If you have no joy, drop me a line and I will scan the pages with the theoretical bedlife info.

    cheers pockets

Well, the obvious question you will get is "how can we have a superior product at less cost?"

I think everyone knows that MP is the superior product, but how can we as the user get it at a better cost? In the US, there seem to be a bottle neck with O.C. Lugo. They only sell to sea pearls. The rest of us must deal with them. If I can order a pallet of product, why can't I get it from O.C. directly? Other manufacturers/distributors will sell directly in these quantities. Why won't O.C.? This step through two middle men makes the price of your product out of line.

    FWIW

    Thanks chum,

'D' shape it is, Flat at base and semi-round on top (Long 'D'). Just noticed that with a magnifying glass.:)

Oh, BTW, I dont dispose the used sorb. I reuse it for cleaning Toilet bowl since its still caustic - by dumping a handful of it in there till the next day.

    Cheers
