That depends on many factors including fO2 of the diluent, rate of descent, initial setpoint, loop volume at the start, etc. Yes, pO2 increases upon descent. But loop volume decreases. Addition of a low fO2 diluent could still cause the solenoid to add O2 if the resulting loop pO2 is lower than setpoint.

There are too many factors involved in descent and ascent to get a good reading of O2 consumption. A 2-hour dive will use less O2 than 2 separate 1-hour dives. But 2 hours at constant depth should use about the same amount whether it is on one dive or many. At least that's the way I think about it.

These calculations happen to know well, designing the SCR constant ppO2. Growth does not significantly ppO2 Affect Consumption oxygen and the oxygen supply to the circuit you have with the two sources.
What is needed is information on the metabolism of oxygen consumption, not to rinse cycle or correction ppO2 the ascent.
An example of the two dives is not serious.

This can be done programmatically, all large Addition That occure in a Short Time Can Be Taken Into Account.

There is a very important reason why We must do it?
