Heating vest : Santi vs Bts vs scubaforce x heating vest

    Hi,

Does anyone have experience with one of these 3 ? What's the big difference/ advantage ? (Except the Santi being the cheapest of the three)
All thoughts and tips are welcome .

    Thanks in advance,

    David

The bts isn't warm enough, Santi is good, I prefer the lola/golem gear vest with pads instead of wire.

Flip side, the Santi breaths well, the pads don't

Ok, thanks. So no bts , that leaves the santi ( at my local dive shop) or the Scubaforce ( manufactor only 40 min. by car, they also use pads instead of wire)
Golem gear is a no go for me just because I don't want the need to send things to the USA in case of problems.

The Santi vest doesn't work well with pee valve tubes.

How the bottom strap connects it makes routing the tube harder because it's a elastic band you have to pull tight. If you leave it loose the vest won't be held close to your body. If I could get a new vest I would buy the scuba force one. It has nice holes on legs. Or wait for the bare one to be released.

Since the Santi Vest uses thick wires, it isn't a problem to cut a buttonhole through the Santi vest and feed a hose through it. If you use the ShePee connectors it makes it even easier.
Unfortunately Santi uses Thinsulate in their vests, and my experience withThinsulate is that it insulates until it has been washed once. Kind of use it until the flies keep their distance from it, then wash it once and put it in Ebay "washed only once according to Ebay rules". Then go through the same shit with a new Santi vest.
Northern Light Scuba not only makes the best lights but they also makes 2 vests one Thinsulate, and the other washable. I'll buy a Northern Light Scuba heating vest as soon as my nose can no longer cope with my 3rd. Santi vest which has also had a bit of the crotch strap Velcro removed in order to make it comfortable.
