    Whatever disinfectant you use, if you use too much it's the flapper valves that will be adversely affected. They are thin and can dry out easily, I've seen them curl up like an old orange peel after too much disinfectant, then they are shot. In fact, I'd bet that some CO2 hits resulting from poorly functioning flappers were inadvertently caused by using too much disinfectant and damaging the flappers without the diver suspecting anything was wrong with their freshly cleaned loop... -Andy
