For deep dives, do you really want 100% oxygen???
    I don't!

I off board with a leaner mix which still gives me a PO2 of 1.2/1.3 but will not kill me.

I find that to be a great safety feature on the rEvo rather than an impediment.

Are you doing deep dives strictly on MCCR Claudia?

I had also considered a small bottle of heliox, rather than O2.

Regardless, it's time for me to upgrade to a new CCR!

So it's just poor dive planning going deeper than the unit is designed for

I don't do it strictly, as in 100%. There are situations where having eccr/hybrid is "nice" on deep dives. But I must weigh that on a 450 ft dive: convenience vs safety.
I tell you that on my ascent, I run ECCR/hybrid.

I can run a hybrid/ECCR unit manually, but I can't run a manual unit ECCR.
Good luck on your unit selection :)

I'm leaning towards another rEvo. I'm still not positive though.

Not seriously. As there is no local instructor, and I've only actually seen one, which was in pieces in a box, I did not really consider it.

To me that was also A important decision maker: nearby service and other local divers for advice and spare parts.

Also I don't believe in switching to another unit if this unit doesn't give me something I really want wich the former unit doesn't has.
I learn to know my unit after a while, you know the sounds it makes ( or doesn't make) and how it reacts . You need hours do really know you unit, changing means starting all over again .

On the other hand ....new toys, sorry Tools are always fun.

I like my rEvo and stay with it for the moment ;)
