GoPro Hero4 - need to buy lights question

Just got a GoPro Hero 4 and need to buy a pair of lights and a tray. As there are many options out there, just wondering whats worth buying without breaking the bank.

    Best regards,

Chett - That really depends a lot on what you consider breaking the bank. There's a $800 system including tray and dual 3200 lumen lights with ball joints from tecdivegear that is amazing. But there are cheaper 1000 lumen lights. It all depends on what you can afford.

    Hi Ken,

Your right. The $800.00 price range is in par with my price range. Just want to know what's what in the way of lights. Thank you! I'll check into these lights and take a look so that I can start to get a reference point with names and options.

    Best regards,
    Chett. L

Re: GoPro Hero4 - need to buy lights question

    Hi,

I recently bought a case and tray and lights for my canon d30.
    Case from Nimar
    Tray: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-tvtbtdh/...system-bracket

    Arms: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-intmfa/i...port-hd-camera

    Lights: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-bblal100...beam-led-light

I dunno if this set up will work for go pro, but it's cheap and it's worked really well for me!

    Good luck.

Don't know if you have bought anything but I have everything but lights. New still in the packages. Let me know if interested and I can post pics and price.

All items are still in the package. Since the tray doesn't photo well in the bag I found one from another site. From left to right is the tray with arm($50), adapter from tray to 1" ball($20), two hole clamp($20), 6" arm($20) and 8" arm ($30),and ball to light holder ($20). Light holder holds a 1" diameter light. I also have a three hole clamp. I have multiples of everything but the tray. I will pay shipping within CONUS. I can also knock off a few bucks for buying multiple items.

+1 for BigBlue lights. They are great lights for the money.
I sell complete Gopro sets for a lot less the 800.00USD

The Blackmoly III lights gives you best light to weight ratio.

Re: GoPro Hero4 - need to buy lights question

Yet another vote for Big Blue here, I have two of their 5800 Lumen Video Lights (5800VL) and they are absolute beasts and don't give me the same extent of burn-out at close range than HID video lights with a similar output tend to give.

I got them together with the Big Blue Go Pro tray, the tray isn't going to win any awards for looks or ergonomics but for the price its a great package.

The 1800 Lumen Black Molly lights are pretty impressive too, there's also an in-between set of 2800 Lumen video lights but they are a lot closer in price to the 5800 set than the 1800 so I'd suggest either going big (and over budget!) for the 5800 set or getting the pair of 1800 and tray but staying well below your $800 budget
