    Shipping half-used keg of sorb?

So, I'm moving, and shipping all of my earthly possessions to myself halfway across the globe. One such possession is a half-used keg of sorb. Should I just box it up and ship as-is, or transfer it to smaller tupperware containers or ziplock baggies? Does it make a difference?

If I ship it in the original keg, it will constantly be shifting from end to end as the box is thrown around by the postal service. I assume this is bad for sorb, and will eventually crush the pellets into finer pieces. What I don't know is how worried I need to be about this. Will two months in the hands of USPS surface mail negatively affect the sorb enough to re-pack into a tighter container, or am I worrying too much about this?

    Thanks,
    Jim

Personally I would probably give it to a local CCR dive buddy for a beer versus shipping it half way around the world...

If I had to pay for shipping, I probably would. But thats like $70 worth of sorb, and I'm being reimbursed for moving expenses, so might as well bring it.

    Any other thoughts?

I doubt that it will make much difference what container it is in. The original containers, even when brand new, still have enough void for the sorb to move around and get crushed a bit. Just pour the stuff with a breeze to get the dust out when filling your canister.
