Drying the inside of a drysuit

Does anyone have a solution for properly drying out the inside of a drysuit, especially for 'long term' storage?. The problem normally sits in the boot area as I cannot completely turn my suit inside out.

I was thinking of making little [refillable] bags from cheese cloth and filling them with silica gel granules.

The silica should adsorb most of the residual water vapour whilst the suit is packed away, thus preventing odour.

Any thoughts or alternatives to silica gel or other suggestions?

I usually just hang mine upside down and that gets everything out. If you find that's still not getting all the moisture out you can use a peet dryer. They sell them at hunting shops and they are used to dry out your boots and they make a version designed for fishing waders that would be perfect for a drysuit.

Thanks for the suggestion... A peat dryer seems like a good solution.

you can also build a suit drier out of some PVC pipe and a hair drier.... Suit sits upside-down and the bottom of the PVC has some holes drilled in it and you have air flow going through the feet to dry everything out.

It helps if you can dry your boots/toes as much as possible with paper towels, as this will reduce the time it takes to get them completely dry with a blower.

UnderWaterKinetics make a suit hanger with a built in fan. Works awesome.

For a major leak especially on the boots I recommend filling the boots with Cat Litter.

Try not to have Cat Litter stored near Sofnolime, bad things can happen.
