    Looking at a new Mine Warfare Rebreather

    Hey everyone

    I just want to see what info I can get from the forum on Military Rebreathers, especially ones that are rated for diving in a mine field. The reason I ask is that I will be attending a symposium on the subject in Sep and want to make sure I have the latest info. If anyone has info on any of the current production sets that meet this standard I would appreciate it. I am familiar with many of the ones that are on the market but any info would be appreciated.

    Things that I believe are important for a MCM rebreather are the following;

    - certified non-magnetic and meets the STANG
    - certified acoustically safe IAW the STANAG
    - ECCR and capable of Nitrox and Trimix diving
    - simple pre dive set up and maintenance
    - capable of using a FFM and BOV
    - scrubber endurance of min 180min
    - refillable scrubber material

    Thanks for the help everyone 😄

    Rob

    Yea they have had that for quite some time. I have not heard too much good about the pre dive set up and maintenance that they have to do to the set though.

    Yeah, it's a nightmare. Very safe rig though. Navy doesn't dive with bailout.
