    Thumbs up Diving the YAMASHIRO...

    Hi all

The final phase of the Yamashiro Project is about to start.

October 25th, 1944. Strait of Surigao, Leyte, Philippines. The last major naval battle of the history. U.S. Navy ships are restlessly fighting against the Japanese Imperial fleet. During this tragedy, the battleship HIJMS Yamashiro and its sistership HIJMS Fuso will be sunk, both with an important human loss, both in the same Strait.

May 2006. Since a few months, a team of experienced rebreathers Divers based in South-East Asia works on an amazing project: diving the wreck of the HIJMS Yamashiro that lies at a depth about 200m/ 660 fsw, and its sistership the HIJMS Fuso. A technical and a logistical challenge at such a great depth and in such a remote location.

For more information about the Yamashiro Project, please visit its website: www.cedricverdier.com/yamashiro.html
or directly contact the team at:
    yamashiroproject@yahoo.com

... and thanks to Stuart: RBW is one the active sponsors of the Yamashiro Project.

    Cheers

and he won't be the last :D

your freakin whacked!! I love it.

please run video of the whole thing ,topside and the build up to the planning, history, the whole ball of wax.
I would pay 30 bones for a solid 60 minutes of the production DVD that takes me on the journey with you guys.

Heck get a hold of Deep sea detectives and see if they want in on it.
