Question on Search & Recovery -- RE: Glen Ellen

    Recent incident, possibly rebreather related.

Apologies if this has been discussed. I couldn't find the topic on this site, albeit a limited query.

Area near Beaufort Inlet, I believe for the Schurz (SMS Geier). Reported diver separation from partner, and CG search ensued but ended without closure.

Does the CG use unmanned drones/submersibles for a search and recovery on a known area like this?

Not that I'm aware of but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. That wreck is a good ways off the coast and as a result if the dive boat or some other boats don't locate the diver then he/she is lost. Just not feasible that far off shore.

    Thank you for the reply.

No recovery made on this; possibly rebreather related, but also could have been other medical. no idea on equipment used.
