    Thanks for posting, the videos look great, very high quality.

    Max depth was 487'? Can you give us some operational details, dil mix, time at depth, deco time, etc...?

    And, how many new species did you identify? Inquiring minds want to know! -Andy

    Philippine Deep Reef Expedition

    Hi Andy, putting a lot of this into a publication, but basic info: Dil 7/70, most dives were in the range of 100-120m with a few deeper ones. Time at depth is really dependent on TTS, ranging from just a few minutes to half an hour. Almost all of the dives would run around 4-5 hours total. Multiple new species but that is still being worked out in the lab, we won't have definite answers, especially on inverts, for a while.

    Thanks Elliot, very interesting stuff. Where will the information be published? The footage showed what looked like a very healthy environment, especially considering the 80 million people that live in the Philippines. Why the particular interest in the P.I., instead of less densely populated places like Papua New Guinea or Eastern Indonesia? -Andy
