Shortening loop hoses - KISS Classic

Does anyone have any experience shortening loop hoses on a KISS Classic?

17" hoses are still too long for me so I'm thinking of trimming one end. I'll loose the collar but was going to clamp down on a valley in the convoluted section.

Currently the clamps are a standard worm gear clamp over a rubber retainer.

Has anyone tried this with success or failure?

If anyone knows of shorter hoses that would be a long term solution, also let me know

    Thanks

Not a problem. I have done it on my C Kiss long ago.
Found the original length way too long, so trimmed off about 2.5" of each hose on the head end.
Cut it on the point of the ridge than on the valley of the corrugation.
Then use that half portion of the ridge for the clamp to sit on.
    Works well.

    Cheers!
