    Re: Sensor failure data

Never had any cell fail in less than 12 months including the period Jan1 13- Dec 31 13

This includes Teledynes (obviously not in 2013), AII (not in 2013) and N@90 (2013)

Never bothered with the old new AP cells nor the new AP cells.. Will only consider them once they Show some reliability, so maybe never ;)

All AIIs I had so far though died pretty fast after 12 months (10 cells so far).. The longest lastet about 18 month ( I always Keep and watch the once they are out of the Loop, as well I use them to analyze O2 in ambient)

BTW 2 of 3 Teledynes (AP Editions.. manufactured D0) still Show to be linear until today up to 2 bar PO2 !!!

As expected, the 3 N@90 cells functioned flawlessly for the 65 minute dive to 140' in 38*F water.

    Re: Sensor failure data

I usually leave them at least 30 min to see if the readings vary..
    They didn't so far..
Yes I know you also can't telll under hyperbaric etc etc..
No Need to convince me.. I do not use them in the rebreather, but I think it is noteworthy that they still deliver great results in a checker after all that time..

My experience with Maxtec 305F is that these cells are good but very sensitive to prolongued exposure to saturated humidity.

It is almost imperative to open the scrubber between dives and let them to vent and dry.

    Re: Sensor failure data

BTW one of those Teledynes now is dead the other one not linear past 1.0..
    completely limited at 1.2..

Just tested the 12 month old N@90..
All in excellent shape.. fully linear up to 2.00 bar for 60 min with no Deviation whatsoever..

    Just ordered two new.
Will Switch one to have a reliable basis just in case..
Will Switch the next in 3 months or so if no failure before and Keep the third going up to 18 month if it will survice..
Aiming for a 6 month rotation of 3 cells..
