Question Canceled dive, what to do with untouch sorb?

Hi Everybody, I was about to dive on Saturday last week but the boat broke down. Save the Sorb scrubber or just toss it out? I did not get in the water and did not pre-breather it yet.

Keep it sealed (it must be double bagged) and it will be OK for 2 weeks.

Remember - on day 15 it will spontaneously combust, so either use it before then or throw it out before midnight on day 14.

Don't leave it in the rebreather. There are green micro beasts from the planet kolob that live in your rebreather and can infect the sorb.

Seal it well, and I'd feel comfortable waiting 10 days or so. Beyond that, I'd discard and start anew. Just my 2¢...

    always a hotly contested topic.

    I've heard 2 weeks, 1 month, etc.

I use 3/4 weeks as a max, but depends on the follow on dive. If a deeper tec dive, I might toss it.

rec limt, I'd use it out.

Forgot to mention that! Tech or cold dive, pitched. 83* rec dive, I'd keep it 10 days.

Remove the canister as a whole, put it in a sealed bag / box.
Store away from direct sunlight (just like you would the 20kg keg)

Use next time you go diving, be it next week, next month or next xmas (as long as its in date).
