When I take the measurements, I end up with an inner diameter of 214mm and a thickness of 4mm for the o-ring.

I would suppose that original measurements were in inches with those uneven numbers, which is why I would like to ask fellow owners:

What's the size you guys have used for the o-ring?

    Cheers, Dany

For o-ring you can use 4-5 mm thick and 210mm diameter. The best please to buy o-rings is:

    GREAT STUFF!!!

Mind if I write you an email later?
I'd like to know some measurements and details...

It is *very* reassuring though, that I can go forward with what I have at hand...

    And above all:
A BIG THANK YOU to all who help! :)
It's great to have a community to fall back on instead of re-inventing the wheel!

    I'll be back... ;)

    Cheers,
    Dany

Actually, it all boils down to one topic...

I understand that the rail is fixed by two screws in the back (toward the motor).
How are the batteries fixed up front?

Is the rail with the batteries just sitting in the radius of the hull?

This will answer all the rest...

    Cheers, Dany

    Hi Dany,
The tray inside is actually bolted to aluminum plate which is welded to the hull. The front of the tray is box shaped so it holds battery once it slid in. On the back it held by the Z bracket which is held by two screws.
it should be pretty easy to build.
Sure, you can PM me any time.
    Cheers, Nick

    Hey Nick,

    Thanks for the details! :)

So to put it in my own words...

The front is not fixed in any way, and only sits against the hull.

Perhaps some questions on the details...
The rail is made of aluminium?
    What's the approximate thickness? 2mm or 3mm?

I already discussed some sketches with "the guy" from the workshop, I hope they find some time soon... ;)

    Cheers,
    Dany

The font and the back are welded to the hull. I think it should be easy to reach there with wire feeder gun. The tray is made of 3mm steel and painted black. If you have a choice then build it out of aluminum.

Re: Reaching out to owners of a DiveRite Arrow

    Nick,

When you say 'the front and the back are welded to the hull', you mean the black painted rail made out of steel, or do you mean that little bracket onto which the black painted rail gets bolted?

I was talking about the black rail only...
And if that is steel, I can't see how that is welded to the hull...
That little welded bracket is still there with my unit...

    Cheers,
    Dany

I have two aluminum tabs welded to the hull, one is on the back and one is on the front. Black painted rail sits on top and attached to the aluminum tabs with two allen head screws. Hope that make sense :)
