    Then how does the KISS GEM do it? I heard that there was one model that vented 1/4 on the surface and 1/40 at 90 metres.
    @Dave1w: They give deals for buddy pairs too. Pity there's no information on their website how it works.

    A couple of questions on rebreather design

    The GEM dumps a third or quarter of the gas that goes through the mouthpiece, then makes it up with effectively an ADV on the tee on the inhale hose.
    This ratio stays the same as you go deeper, but the gas % drop decreases


    Ps it's not the lungfish, it's one of his other designs

    Yes, I understand that, but how is this ratio varied? Do they squash the inner bellows or something?
