Where to rent tanks in Costa Rica?

    hi,

I'm looking for a place in Costa Rica to rent 40cft tanks, and eventually rebreather tanks

We have a trip with UnderSea Hunters at the end of the year, but we want 40 cft's and eventually rebreather tanks: so I want to rent locally, as an alternative to bringing.

    anyone knows?

anyone imported already tanks into Costa Rica?

Ask Doug Ebersole (debersole). I believe he a did a trip with Undersea Hunter a year or two ago.
Unfortunately the last time I researched it, I found that there were not ccr cylinders readily available there, but it's been a little while. Bringing or shipping your own or just sidemounting larger cylinders for your onboard might be the way to go.
I have fond memories of Cocos. My trip there was what got me interested in CCR diving actually. They were launching their deep sea sub for the first time on a regular trip. Avi was our captain and brought is biomarine unit onboard.

I actually just noticed Undersea Hunter's website indicates they rent CCR cylinders. Is that not up to date information?

    Hello,

Undersea Hunter peut fournir les blocs et l'absorbant (SOFNOLIME).
Il suffit de leur envoyer un message pour leur demander la disponibilité, ils ont l'habitude de supporter des expéditions avec recycleur.

we are... 18 CCR divers (USH has only limited amount of tanks)

bail-out is in 80 cft... w're thinking of renting/importing 40 cft: much nicer for not to deep, and lot's of currents
