    New(er) Vandagraf rEvo-B Cell Failed

Just had a rEvo-B cell fail... Calibrated fine but slow response/Lower PPO2 than the other cells after O2 flush/linearity test. This is my first rEvo-B cell failure. Spare installed and new spare ordered.

    Dwayne,
what values did you notice (? linearity check)
what is the seriesnumber of the sensor so I can check our test data

it is really VERY rear that a B sensor fails

.... to get more accurate CO2 injection in the breathing machine we put 2 mass flow controllers in series ...
.... The noise is a few tens of nano-volts, so DL were able to reduce the output voltage ...
.... radial scrubbers give longer dwell time than axials...
.... the earth is flat and ...

Are these sensors guaranteed for replacement?

If so do you have to return the defective sensor and incur shipping charges both ways?

    rEvo-B S/N 20110637 Install Sensor Prior to September 2012. Installed 7/12.

Slow/Current Limited - Was .2 -.3 off the other cells at depth/PPO2 1.3. Tracks fine on the surface reading 0.21 and a stream of O2 confirmed PPO2 ~1.00

did you try a swap to other input to exclude other errors?
the other sensors are also B sensors?

No but I can - It's an rMS system and reading fine on the surface and calibrated fine so given the fault its likely current limited.

    Other sensors are B.

If the cell was on the Shearwater you can also export the divelog to a csv or xml file and have a look at the millivolts of the cells during the dive. Throw it in Excel and plot the data. You'll spot immediately a slow or limited cell. (As you would do underwater.)

I have a script that generates automatically graphs of the data in those files and I always look at it after a dive.
