    FYI - Scrubber Canister Spiders

Just an FYI to say the scrubber canister SS spider used with RMS has a larger center bolt hole.

You can use the new spiders on the standard scrubber canisters but you cannot use a standard scrubber SS spider on the RMS canister.

If you attempt to put the smaller SS spider in an RMS canister. it will not go past the bottom of the threads on the shaft and when you tighten it down with scrubber, it will sit at some funky angle and not hold the mesh/scrubber correctly.

By the by, all upgrade kits should come with the stainless steel 9V battery clip - The same clip used on the hybrids....

Here is an example that shows you can't use the standard style SS spider with the rMS scubber cassettes. Dwayne thanks again!!!

    Best regards,

New spider on top and old spider on the bottom - Notice the slight difference in center hole size... Everything else appears to be the same.

Is there any obvious reason that someone could not just drill out the hole to a larger size? Not that I would want to modify anything rebreather related.

Personally I think its worth a try but its a light material laser cut and I'm sure if a drill bit grabbed an edge, it would easily be twisted out of shape... It's likely metric so I know you would get a kick out of punching a 1/2" drill bit through it

Clamp it between two pieces of wood and drill through the whole lot. That will help stop the drill bit tearing the spider.

But Im with Dsix. You shouldn't ever modify your rebreather in any way whats so ever.
