    Speaking of getting a bigger battery, would it make sense to get one of these Turnigy 5000mAh 4S1P?
    It should fit in the canister I have... but no idea of LiPo are good for the job

    Lipo is the best battery you can buy in my opinion. They use the latest technology. There is no memory effect so charging can be carried out no matter whether they are partially charged. The other good thing about these batteries are the large amounts of cycles, often over 1000 cycles.

    I strongly advise purchasing lipo!

    Using information gleaned for here & the Candlepower forum, I have done my own MR11 HID to 10W LED conversion.
