To be honest I cant recall what colour temp we ended up choosing. I think it was about 5-6K
The light used in the video would have been 6K +

Can you divulge where you get the E/O style connector?

    Very clever design!

Is the metal part sticking outside the transparent tube a heat-sink?

Looking forward seeing more on this project...

I need giant lumens to light giant cave for video.

I like the idea of powerful tube lights.

Wonder what type of pattern they would throw if they were 15 inches long?

Can they be burned out of water, or are they to hot?

If they are too hot, maybe the tube could be removed for dry cave video?

You may be better off with 4 shorter light heads???

While these can be used out of water for a short time if you wanted something dedicated for inwater and out of water use it would require more exposed heatsink. Not really an issue. I wouldnt want to use it with out the tube lens.

One issue you may get over time is yellowing of the tube. But rotating the tube every now and then may help reduce this. And of course replacing the tube once a year isnt that hard.

4 heads are always better than two

Yellowing of the tube? Why donīt you use a glass tube? Borosilicat will work great.
