Very nice.... Yes, there's a market out there; it may be small, but we're all interested in your production once you get it worked out.

    Hi,

Can I ask what Advantage this offers over the original Fred Badier / Airtess design shown in the picture of Xavier? the moving parts look more complicated and heavier.

    regards,
    John

    Hi John,

the Airtress is fine if you have a "side but backmount" unit and both hoses are coming over one shoulder. (see picture two threads above)
But if you use a real side mount unit (like carrying a stage) hoses coming from the hips region, so from down to up ..., then you need a different DSV style of course.

    Great build!

Personally I would like something like a big bore version of the Dräger TR-75: Rebreather Dräger TR75

Preferably with a SNOG-function, a blunt barrel and a HUD holder

I have an Airtess and I have a suspicion that the open area is not as large as it could be (affecting the WOB). Your design seems to solve the hose problem for "low" sidemount, but it looks like it has the same potential restriction just before the flappervalves.

    /Anders

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the great replies and mails on the DSV.
The prototype version was now successfully tested in cave diving and now it is time for the first “polished version”.
See the pictures here, from the “Prototype2”

It is a little bit smaller than “Prototype1”
Air channels are big enough, there is quite a good flow.

Hose fitting are now changeable, so different diameters are possible, standard will always be the Ray hose fittings.

Spiders are now directly included in the hose fittings, so it is possible to make it smaller, more flexible and it has less o-rings.

But..it is still in process as I have more ideas….to optimize it …we will see what comes up …

And yes...the mouthpiece plate will be turnable..so hoses can go to the side...(next version)

    And here is this clip:

First part of this video is topside presentation of the breatcher and then few underwater shots in the Utopia cave with the unit dived by Toddy.
