The wreck we were not supposed to dive (video)

The Red Sea boasts many shipwrecks. Some of them lie in shallow waters, so divers have the chance to explore them. Others lie to deep, and will remain a mystery forever. And then there are wrecks that are found in locations where diving is not allowed.
Submerge Productions had the chance to film such a wreck, the HMS Myngs. This footage is unique, because very few divers have visited the wreck, as it is located very close to an Egyptian Military base, and off the dive charts.

    Nice video.

A bit off-topic. I never understood why you want to use the silvelight driven video-player. Why not just use Vimeo or youtube like the rest of the world?

I'm guessing that the video is imbedded in the post and can't be seen except in a real browser...not mobile.

Re: The wreck we were not supposed to dive (video)

Sorry folks, the links are not available anymore. They were hosted on our own video servers. Over a year ago we had to stop the project because of lack of interest from both the diving community and the diving industry. The number of views wasn't going up as expected which was rather strange because we were working together with over 30 dive related websites and a large number of professional videographers. The advertisement coming in was marginal. The economic situation probably didn't help either. The investment of time and money became too high, so we had to stop the dive video distribution network.
We could place our own videos, like this one, on youtube. But is not a simple upload jobby. All the videos are currently in formats not suitable for YouTube. They have to be converted again, which will take days to do. So, not sure if this is going to happen.

Have you tried Vimeo? Sorry to hear about the project losing interest. If you can find a way I would love to see them.

    Cheers,
    Garth
