Hi from a german hard hat diver

    Hi,

my name is Thomas, and I am a german hard hat diver who dives usually with a Draeger DM 40 equipment, a rebreather for hard hat divers, which was invented about 1912, and which was build until the late sixties.

The equipment is still in good working condition and if you want to have a look how it works you can have a look at my web-site (Helmtauchen). It's only in german, but there are a lot of pictures which talk for their own.

If you have any questions about the equipment or about my person feel free to ask!

    Kind regards

    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

Welcome to RBW. I like your website, especially the old hard hat equipment.

    Hi dreamdive,

I do the hard hat diving only for fun and recreational reasons and to preserve the knowldege about the old way of diving!. The DM 40 equipment is not in commercial use any more.

I also dive SCUBA, but the only 'modern' rebreather I dived yet was the Draeger Dolphin.

    Regards Thomas
