    Every square inch of this vertical wall is covered with life and in all the colors of the rainbow! Anemones, starfish, crustaceans, nudibranchs, octopus were everywhere. After a surface interval highlighted by topside photography of bald eagles, we did a drift dive at Inside Seven Tree.

    Great article...and even better pictures. Thanks for this.

    I've been there from the UK several times, but never stayed with God's Pocket. They always seemed a bit too deluxe and pricey for my budget...but never heard a bad word said against them. You get what you pay for.

    The diving is every bit as good as described. Well worth the long haul. As you move up Vancouver Island, the diving gets better and better. North of Port Hardy is definitely the best IMHO.

    Consider staying with Hideaway for a lower budget version, with exactly the same diving as God's Pocket. Also covered in ADM:

    ADVANCED DIVER MAGAZINE • Hideaway • Browning Pass • British Columbia

    .:: Vancouver Island Dive.com ::.

    Cheers, Steve-M

    Thanks for your kind words. You are right -- the Hideaway is right nearby and we even stopped by there on our boat one afternoon. I don't know how much more expensive God's Pocket is, but the experience we had there would be hard to beat!
