    Re: Pure o2 rebreather training

    Hello,

about O2 rebreather training i found a very interesting book at amazon:

Tauchen mit Sauerstoff-Kreislaufgeräten: Amazon.de: Waldemar Boczek, Jens Hilbert: Bücher

Bought it and have t say: very nice!

    a few parts are:
    -History
    -different rigs
    -pro/cons
    -medical
    -tables
    -scrubber material
    -dive training
    >rig
    >pool training
    >"open water"

the only thing is, that this book is in german.

    Regards Anton

There are not many good books on pure o2-diving (if you find one...). This one is the best.

In Poland, the Soviet IP 5 can buyfor $ 15.
I got the cheapest on December, 3 oxygen rebreathers M 61 Faser, absolutely free.

My little opinion was that planning to use O2 CCR you must be aware
of different O2 CCR types such as most common on-demand O2
and a bit less common constant mass flow O2 rigs.
On-demand rigs are quiet easy for homemade, but they need loop-flush
to ensure that no nitrogen left in loop. CMF rigs are slighter more complex,
but offers more safety to diver due to it's nature - you are always being
supplied with near metabolic volume of O2, so so you never
get low PPO2 in loop due to nitrogen diffusion from blood and tissues
to loop - that was the most related to on-demand rigs and was solved
as pre-dive loop-flush routine. Also, in my opinion, O2 rigs are
easy-to-study and use, cost- and weight-effective and adequate
to recreaional relaxation dives ;) and provide effective rebreather training.
But, to do this, you better test yourself to oxygen toxicity in nearest
hyperbaric medicine facility, and do this being suprevised by your
rebreather guru, who must teach you some emergency procedures...
    Hope you understand me ;)
One of the more substantive speeches. In circuits, oxygen demand French Oxy-NG recommendation rinsing every 30 min to rinse the N2.

Bag and circulation must be inflated air lungs must be filled. This variant has a depth from the start that it is safe to 9-10m, this depends on circuit design. Passing through this area should be quick. When returning a deep rinse is necessary.

Of course, we started the circulation of the recommendation is not properly washing three times with oxygen.
