Or mid-dive for that matter. I don't think anyone would ever disagree with these points of view.

I don't think we need more legislation, it just needs to be applied when things aren't right. The result of the case which spawned this thread might be a watershed in that respect.

I think we are fortunate to have such a large choice of equipment right now, and if one unit has poor features it can be re-enforced with additional equipment that doesn't have those features - to suit recreational and not government budgets. No unit is perfect after all, nostalgia for Naval equipment not withstanding. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be relentlessly trying to build a safer unit however.

I vote for the 'spoon'. Now that's a safe product. Whoever invented the spoon knew something about engineering. Stupid simple in my mind. :D

Sorry. You said any product. You don't hear too many people saying, "Be carefull with that spoon or you'll put your eye out!"

    Cheers,
Kids? Nope. Who wants them? You just have to worry about them figuring out ways to put an eye out with a spoon. :D

    Re: RBW Traitor

I want the 2 hours of my life back from reading 32 pages of this crap.
    Compete waste of time.
I hope Alex gets his ccr to market soon, becuase Im going to be the first one to buy one so I can go out and kill myself on it. Then I want my family to sue the hell out of him for not making it safe enough becuase I died on it.

And it had that ce cert that said it was so safe! What the hell went wrong?

No need to wait, you can do that with the kit you have now. Then we can all be spared your less than elequant rhetoric.
