UK Cave diver Ric Stanton & I will be giving a joint presentation about the technical diving expedition to New Zealand at the Birmingham NEC dive show on the 14/15 of Oct.
Both of us joined forces with technical divers from the southern hemisphere to explore the Pearse Resurgence cave system (170m) and the lost gold ship Niagara (125m).
The month long expedition saw success in both diving projects and we will be telling the story of each leg of the expedition (setbacks and learning points).
Ric explored the Pearse Resurgence cave system on the south island to a depth of 170m and has photographs and film to show. I joined the wreck diving leg of the project and will focus on the Niagara as she sits on the seabed today and discuss the recovery of the ships bell as well as touch on her history as a bullion gold ship.
Lots of photographs as usual which we are currently working on putting together with hopefully some film clips so hope you can join us and enjoy the show.
