    Kiss display batteries?

It occurs to me that I should get a spare battery or two for my displays so that I have one or two on hand if one conks out on a dive trip. Is there any point in buying the Energiser E2 lithium type batteries like I use in my VR3 for long life? Does the display work ok with these batteries?

I always thought the display battery for the KISS is the 6 volt PX28L.

Is the E2 the same type (size, voltage) ?

I have used alkaline equivalents ( not recommended by Jetsam...but hey you try finding those bloody lithium Duracells out of a MAJOR city) like Eveready A544, or GP 4LR44 and they work just fine, albeit for a shorter time

    while we are at it...

Any ideas for the battery life with no backlight on? I know with the backlighting on it's about 20 hours...

As to sourcing the lithium batteries, the only place in Sydney I can find is my local pharmacy, (tried battery world, electronics places, camera places and even heaing aid places as well as the BIG pharmacies) who stocks them for someone with an older hearing aid. And they always have 3 in stock...

Dave D. mentioned in the past that 50 hours with backlight on, then it will dim but will last another 50 hours.

Without backlight from the start, it should last over 150 hours.

I thought they only sell the ones for Juergensens' Display Integrated Vibration Alarm.

I believe they also offer leather and chain buddy lines as well as
a variety of infllatable SMB that really get attention.
