    Hi,
Nice site. I visited the Scandinavia when I was it was located in IZU.
It used to be an hotel few years ago, and they lost their accreditation. It became a restaurant, but food was expensive and awful...
Everybody was surprised when it took the sea, as it stayed at port for years and the shape was far to be great ...
They should sunk it closer to Tokyo, it would have made a good diving point.

    stella polaris wreck expedition

there is another thread here running under "new massive wreck" which i startded last year. so from now on ill try to keep it on one. most updates will be on my website anyway.

well - although not in tokyo , we hope to make this virgin a new dive destination in kushimoto which is about 3-4 hours drive from osaka.

although there are some great difficulties for the dive.

she mite not be extremely deep but she is in a very strong current which can be up to 4 knots + in the middle of a busy shipping lane.

to dive the wreck it needs the permission from the owner and the coast guard which together with local fishermen and others advised us that it is quite a dangerous marine site.

boat operaters only go on site reluctantly.

but - we only can try and we will see how it turns out to be.

we have also on the team jonnyb from sweden, mr. sugawa an inspiration diver and mr. tanaka (megalodon) from blue quest - who is extremely helpfull with the organisation. he seems to be the ccr guru in japan.

    Hi guys,

I just joined this site today so still confuse how to work for.

Anyway, yes you are right, Axel. It is so tough to dive that sinking aria. Most of problem for you is a communication with boat staff include captain. They never conduct this kind of dives and no idea about mix gas, CCR and etc. You should make a plan so carefully.

mr. tanaka told me he tried to dive the wreck last year but had to abort the dive. he is organising the boat for us. have u been diving with him on this dive?

however, we will produce to all involved a detailed dive plan with included risk assessment. during dive operations we have a dive controller topside who is in charge for necessary surface logistics which includes the boat operations.

    Hi all,

I am getting my rebreather in few weeks and I am looking for 3 Liters Steel Tanks (Diluant and Oxygen) with DIN valves. Of course, I am looking for official ones with proper stamps and colour.

Any idea where I could get them ?

    Cheers, Nicolas
