Upcoming Meeting

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007:

Please join us on Tuesday night, April 10th at 7:30pm at the Crowne Plaza in Natick.

Mike Walls, owner/manager of The Dive Locker, LLC, will be discussing Cape Cod Diving and the stores brand new charter boat, a 25’ Parker with twin 150 HP Yamahas. Although there are hundreds of shipwrecks on Cape Cod, Mike will be focusing his dive charters on less than 20. All will be in the 130' or shallower range. Wreck diving from the east side of Cape Cod will be some of the best diving in New England; 40' plus viz on nearly every dive and bright. Large lobsters can be taken from the backside of the Cape as well. Once the gear/certification/experience levels are met, a diver will find themselves in New England Scuba HEAVEN! Mike has been diving since 1986, has 4500+ dives is an SSI/PADI Master Instructor, a US Navy Dive School graduate (NDSTC in Panama City, FL), and has certified over 1000 students from Open Water Diver to Instructor. Mike has been Instructing for over 15 years and has owned The Dive Locker for just over four years.

Fellow club member Jeff Wagner will give a video presentation on his dive to the Chester Poling. The dives were unique and exciting to Jeff as this was his first time diving doubles. He will share his experience and narrate the video presentation. Jeff tried diving while on a trip to Cozumel, Mexico in 2001, and has been an avid diver every since. Although Jeff enjoys warm-water locations such as Cozumel and Key Largo, the Cape Ann area is where he can be found diving most of the time, year round.
