Unless they've made it smaller I'm not what point there'd be showing anothing scooter in the UK... Rodney was showing an excellent smaller scooter similar to the X scooter, I could comfortably lift it with one hand :-))same back end, same thrust, NiMh batteries 19Ah - nice. John |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I spent some time talking to Alan on the KISS Stand too. He was very helpfull and showed me the Mares reg, the quick disconnects, and what I should look for in the KISS I'm about to get too. The new reg looks good. Its a shame they didn't have any disclaimer forms to sign there and then. He was getting smoe for Sunday but I couldn't make Sunday. It was nice to Meet John (Narked at 90), Beanie & Lou, Zepp, Juz and Blanid, Mdemon and Helen and lots of others. I visited tthe Kent Tooling stand and Digger talked me into buying the 150m Rachet Reel .I saw the Frog Stand where Mark and Janos were, but was dissapointed to find they had no stock and were selling only promises. Digger told me they paid only £5 for the shipping, from South Africa!! Not sure how good that will be, considering how much it costs to send stuff even standard mail in the UK. The kit did look nice and if I didn't already have a wing I might have been tempted to by one, but its a shame they couldn't hand them out there and then. How much does it cost to bring a few over with them? The food stands in the hall were good as has been said. I saw the Rick Stanton show, which was great (again). Didn't get to see much else, but perhaps that saved me some money. Dave C |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Dive Show Report I nearly did my first Dive Show without buying anything. Fell at the last hurdle by buying 6 x double-enders @ £1 each! Damn. Very interested to see DecoChek's evolution into a dive profile generator rather than a dive profile checker. I've got a copy and will try and jot down the main points later. Handles CCR as well as OC, nice Slate function, nice saturation graphing and the profile is apparently based on a man-tested algorythm rather than a theoretical algorythm. Shows issues such as ICD and it's nice to be able to tweak the profile and see what happens. Quiet show. Nice to catch up with people. Looking at the entry fee and cost of parking, I'm starting to wonder what the show is for? Most people I knew were there only to meet up with old friends and see what's new. I wonder if something could be done more informally than a Dive Show where the big manufacturers turn up with a few units to try-dive and everyone else comes for a piss up? ![]() The £17 it costs to go to the NEC dive show would go a long way anywhere else.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Some one with an unused air feild should organise the venue for the next show. Large Hanger, for exhibitors and long airfeild form parkiing. Could charge half the price and still make a profit. Are we being saturated. There used to be a show every two years in Scotland but that was canned due to lack of interest. Do we need the LIDS? Surely NEC is central enough? Plus once a year would generate more interest. I can't se the NEC budging on price for exhibitors though. Last edited by Dave Crampton : 16th October 2006 at 09:22. |
