The Northwest Dive and Travel Expo

I am wondering how many rebreather divers are going to be at the dive show in Tacoma this weekend.

I really hope this show survives. There hasn't been a dive show in the Northwest part of the continent for a very long time. I've heard there are going to be 160 booths, so it looks like the vendors are supporting it.

I'll be there- we're trying to spread the word down here- there hasn't been much promotion for this thing, except for word of mouth, and some web posts on local sites. I had no idea it was actually going to be cool, until my buddy told me about all the lectures, presentations, and vendors that would be there. I assumed it was going to be a bunch of PADI discover-diving-and-buy-some-purple-split-fins kinda stuff.

Saturday was really, really good and I'll be going back today. There is a heavy CCR presence at the show, and every charter operator I spoke with CCR friendly.

This show beat the CRAP out of my expectations, and I see it becoming an annual fixture here in the PNW.

I have to say the same thing. I'm really impressed with how well the show was organized and the turnout. We'll be back next year.

I wish more shows had free wifi on the show floor.

dont say that too loud about the wifi!! i have this image of teamsters standing over your laptop so they can type in whatever you want to search for, and charging $60 hour for the privilege
