Lids 2008

Ill be at LIDS on Sat

I have gone to LIDS most years since 2000 (i cant remember missing one) I have only been to the NEC twice and then only because its the annual meeting of my gas diving group.

I just found the NEC to be pretty much the same as LIDS but bigger?? I haven't found a great advantage with going to the NEC except that I get to meet some of the divers who don't venture south much. All the key stands were there last year, AP, Meg, CCReserch, rEvo.

Like a lot of people I have very limited time. The NEC means leaving at 6am and getting home late. The LIDS means I can still drop the kids at drama get to the show and get home before Ling gets home at 6pm.

So spare a thought for the family man and don't slag my local dive show off too much. If it stopped I doubt very much if i could get up to the NEC every year.

It is, but I feel that unless Rebreather World (members/staff) organised it- no one else will. Perhaps this is cause for a new thread...

I'll be at the show on Saturday too, is there going to be a Rebreather World meet this year anywhere?
